Winner of the National Design Competition for Housing at Pyrmont 1995

The Project was the result of an International Design Competition. The building involves seventy-six apartments in an urban suburb of Sydney, with a design that represents the highest density any government in Australia has accepted for a sub-urban site. The building responds to the significant housing building by Professor Leslie Wilkinson of the 1930’s (the only building adjacent at the time of this project’s construction). The entry was awarded its prize for its ability to consolidate complex issues of Environmentally Sustainable Design with a sophisticated urban response.
