Anita Morandini

Anita Morandini (Senior Associate) was born in Wollongong and graduated from the University of Sydney in 1989. After completion of her Bachelor of Architecture degree she worked in Spain for Enric Miralles & Carme Pinós Architects and Esteban Terradas & Roberto Terrades Architects on a range of projects from residential to public buildings, including sporting venues for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Before moving back to Sydney in 1993 she worked extensively in Europe for DeUtch Architects in Germany and Wiel Arets Architects in Holland. In 1990 she joined Harry Levine Architects where she worked for some twelve years and established herself as a Senior Architect working on Saint Margaret’s Hospital, a new Marine Park in Homebush and various other residential projects.

In 2005 she became an Associate Architect at Bligh Voller Nield working on masterplanning projects including the redevelopment of the Royal Randwick Racecourse, Department of Defence living units at Holdsworthy and Riverfront Residential Accommodation in Queensland. She was also involved in Competition masterplanning for sporting precincts in Shenzhen, China.

Since 1993 she has also been tutoring and guest critic for Universities in both Sydney and Newcastle and has continued this involvement in particular with the University of NSW until 2008.

In 2010 Anita joined Candalepas Associates as a Senior Associate and has worked on masterplanning and rezoning for the redevelopment of the Woolstores precinct in Freemantle, Western Australia, individual housing and multi-residential projects.
